How does Invisalign work?
Invisalign helps you achieve beautiful, straight teeth without wearing conventional braces. Invisalign doesn’t use metal wires like classic braces. Instead it uses a series of clear, removable custom-made aligners that apply gentle pressure to move your teeth. At less than a millimeter thick, its clear nature allows it to meld into your daily life without disturbance or social embarrassment. The aligners are removable for eating and drinking and make brushing and flossing a breeze compared to conventional braces. Because the aligners are unobstructive, Invisalign is ideally suited to adult patients whose life style or work commitments make it difficult to wear conventional braces.
After a consultation, Dr. Babin will determine if you are a suitable candidate for Invisalign. If you are, a custom prescription for your teeth will be developed using 3D computer imaging technology. This 3D imaging allows you to preview the final position of your teeth before you even start treatment! Next, custom-made aligners are created using this 3D technology. Each aligner moves teeth incrementally and is worn for about 2 weeks. Generally, you will visit us once every 6 -8 weeks for progress checks and to receive your next series of aligners. Treatment time varies depending on your particular orthodontic needs; generally between 6 to 18 months.

Invisalign® is the clinically proven, nearly invisible way to straighten teeth without metal braces. Invisalign treatment uses removable, clear plastic aligners that are worn day and night to gradually move your teeth into the desired position.
We make Invisalign treatment affordable with transparent pricing and interest-free payment plans. You will need a diagnostic appointment to get a written quote which is valid for 3 months. Since Invisalign falls under orthodontic treatment, these costs may qualify for health insurance reimbursement.
Invisalign treatment can be completed in as little as 6 months, with average treatment times of around 12-18 months. Your treatment length will depend on your individual needs as determined by your dentist.
You will need to wear your aligners day and night for approximately 20-22 hours per day. Each set of aligners is worn for about 1-2 weeks and is then replaced with the next set in the series until your treatment is complete.
