Dr. Babin is a preferred provider of Invisalign

What is invisalign?

For those who want a beautiful, straight smile but do not want to wear braces, Invisalign may the the answer for you. Invisalign is a virtually invisible and very comfortable way to straighten your teeth.

How does Invisalign work?

Invisalign helps you achieve beautiful, straight teeth without wearing conventional braces. Invisalign doesn't use metal wires like classic braces. Instead it uses a series of clear, removable custom-made aligners that apply gentle pressure to move your teeth. At less than a millimeter thick, its clear nature allows it to meld into your daily life without disturbance or social embarrassment. The aligners are removable for eating and drinking and make brushing and flossing a breeze compared to conventional braces. Because the aligners are unobstructive, Invisalign is ideally suited to adult patients whose life style or work commitments make it difficult to wear conventional braces.

After a consultation, Dr. Babin will determine if you are a suitable candidate for Invisalign. If you are, a custom prescription for your teeth will be developed using 3D computer imaging technology. This 3D imaging allows you to preview the final position of your teeth before you even start treatment! Next, custom-made aligners are created using this 3D technology. Each aligner moves teeth incrementally and is worn for about 2 weeks. Generally, you will visit us once every 6 -8 weeks for progress checks and to receive your next series of aligners. Treatment time varies depending on your particular orthodontic needs; generally between 6 to 18 months.

Invisalign is a clear convenient way to straighten teeth for teens to adults.

What does it cost?

One of the first questions people tend to have when considering Invisalign is, "How much will it cost?". The good news is that most individuals are pleasantly surprised to discover that the cost of Invisalign treatment is usually comparable to the cost of traditional braces, often less. Most insurance companies that have orthodontic coverage will assist with the cost of Invisalign. Our office offers monthly payments for Invisalign treatments.
